HOLIDAYSARE ALL ABOUT WATCHING THE SNOW FALL FROM YOUR WINDOW SEAT
On acold winter’s day, I can only dream of sitting in a snug window seat anddreamily staring out the window. It’s so holiday cheer to imagine looking untothe street and watching snowflakes drop one by one.
Although a bay window is a natural spot for a windowseat, virtually any window is a candidate; especially when surrounded by built-insto create a niche. Soft cushions to sit or lie on; read a book or just drinktea.
While the built-in window seat may have reachedits height during the formalism of the Georgian period when tall, narrow sashwindows were the norm, this intimate, backless seating nook can still be asmart, space-saving and stylish addition to the right room.
And by the way, window seats work well in warmweather too! Floridians, also like to snuggly read books and drink tea whilehaving a beautiful view as their backdrop.
